UPDATE: Due to the current events with COVID-19 his workshop has been postponed. I look forward to sharing this experience with you in the future.
Creativity and Self-Expression Meet Poetry and Storytelling
Learn how to take old discarded pages and turn them into thoughtful, creative works of visual poetry by blacking out unwanted words to create a new poem or statement. The process is quite simple and meditative, making this workshop fun for ANYONE…no poetry or art experience is required. You will be amazed at what emerges after you have finished with this interactive Blackout Poetry workshop. Think of it as an opportunity to look into the subconscious mind. This experience can promote reflection, mindfulness and creativity that can help overall well-being.
At the end of the workshop we’ll create a safe and relaxed round-table discussion/viewing of everyone’s artwork. Feel free to read your blackout poems and what they mean to you or just simply enjoy being in the company of others and see what everyone came up with.
Honor and embrace your story in your voice.
See you soon.
