How we do it 

We love exploring with all kinds of traditional and untraditional art materials as there is an endless way to use them. 
Manipulating art materials provides a familiar and safe activity for all. Art making is something that every person is exposed to at an early stage in life. Through the use of materials we activate our senses (touch, smell, sight), and are challenged to use both sides of our brain (the creative and the analytical) to have physical involvement in the production of an art piece. We are also challenged to problem solve in order to get to the result we desire or have envisioned as the art result.
At Annie we value and learn from the process of creating and not necessarily on a "pretty finished piece" Our brains are constantly absorbing information through these experiences.

​By using the creative arts, we explore how to best help the participant engage and make progress in the fulfillment of his/her potential. We work closely with you to develop a customized creative program to meet your current personal growth and development needs. We meet you where you are in this process.

There are behavioral and emotional components too that inform the way we relate with the process of making art. When a person is challenged through art making, he/she is challenged in a playful and more forgiving environment. Yet our brain learns over time to recognize these responses of tolerance, patience, problem-solving and creating new ways to get to a desired outcome. We learn and we translate this information in our every day lives within other obstacles and other learning experiences and intrinsically we bring those healthy adaptive skills and apply them in life.
